Repurposed Pochade Paint Box Ready For Your Finishing Touch! Condition is New. Shipped with USPS First Class Package. This is a repurposed unfinished cigar box turned Pochade Paint Box.
 
The dimensions are approximately: 8" x 8.25" x 2" (L x W x D) Weight: 1.5 lbs. I started making these for quick studies in tight spaces or when painting in a limited palette. I have found them quite versatile, easy to travel with and fun to make... So I thought I'd offer some to you. I have not stained or sealed the boxes so that you can add your personal touch! Each box comes with two latches and a solvent/medium cup for you to mount as you see fit.
 
The mixing area is just under 8" square. They come with a standard masonite palette. I don't want to ship glass, so if that is your preference you'll have to source that on your own. The palette is removable for easy replacement or cleaning. Please give the palette a light rub with some linseed oil after you paint. This will seal the palette after a few uses.
 
This current batch of boxes can hold a panel or canvas as short as 5" or as tall as 10" with a reasonable width. Should you wish to adjust this slightly, simply let me know.
 
All boxes come with a standard 1/4" x 20 t-nut which will connect to most tripods or quick release plates. They can be used as table easels. However, I prefer to use the Sirui T-005x tripod for its light weight and portability.
